This session focuses on strengthening the transparency and accountability of domestic systems for managing climate finance and encouraging efforts to deepen stakeholder participation in climate-related policies. We are proposing a dynamic discussion to brainstorm ways to tackle opportunities and challenges related to transparency of climate finance investments and to promote collective action to demand for accountability. The conversations will also be aimed at securing the much-needed buy in and support of governments and civil society in opening up climate finance to public scrutiny. We also expect to discuss and receive inputs to our proposed tool to make climate finance more transparent and accountable by identifying critical areas to further the disclosure process for climate finance infrastructure and secure feedback to inform advocacy efforts for increasing demand for green accountability.
