I came to Guatemala to support the local TI chapter in its ambition to offer compliance services to the private sector. I am therefore coordinating the local Business Integrity Programme, giving mainly workshops to company employees regarding all relevant elements of an Compliance Management System (focus on anti-corruption). One of the platforms which appears to be most promising for this is the local Global Compact network. Apart from that, I am very interested in improving the internal processes of the GIZ which is my official contractor. Currently, I am learning that the SDGs can be a very helpful instrument to push both private sector and donor agendas.
